These raised rim, thin-walled 384-well PCR plates are specifically designed for high performance thermal cycling. The plates are made of high quality polypropylene to guarantee low protein absorption and a low adhesion surface. The ultra thin polypropylene is also optimal for heat transfer from the thermoblock to the reaction solution. Minimal distortion and sagging curvature, homogeneous heat transfer and sealing off the individual wells are essential quality criteria. The PCR plates contain an alphanumeric grid for identification in addition to the wide extended skirted feature which allows a barcode to be fixed to the plate.
