Our Thermal Cycler features an intuitive touchscreen control with quick and easy protocol entry. It also has a fully adjustable heated lid, and offers exceptionally fast cycling. Constructed with versatility in mind, the multi-format block accepts 96 x 0.2 mL tubes, 39 x 0.5 mL tubes, or 1 non-skirted 96 well PCR plate.
What is a thermal cycler used for? A thermal cycler, often referred to as thermocycler, PCR machine or DNA amplifier, is a piece of laboratory equipment that is used to amplify segments of DNA by PCR or a polymerase chain reaction. Thermal cyclers may also be used in laboratories to perform temperature-sensitive reactions, such as in rapid diagnostics or restriction enzyme digestion. Azer Scientific’s thermal cycler features a thermal block with 96 or 384 holes where tubes holding the reaction mixtures can be inserted. The thermal cycler raises and lowers the temperature of the block in precise, pre-programmed steps.
