Our 1 gallon containers of reagent grade alcohol is a denatured form of ethyl alcohol, approved for sale under U.S. regulations. The mixture consists of 90 parts ethyl alcohol, 5 parts methyl alcohol, and 5 parts isopropyl alcohol. Reagent grade alcohol is the preferred mixture for dehydrating tissue samples prior to embedding.
