Also called Caustic Soda and substitutes for Red Devil Lye, sodium hydroxide is a white deliquescent solid soluble in water, alcohol and glycerol. It has uses in multiple manufacturing processes. Commonly used in soap making and as a catalyst in biodiesel production.
